Before entering the beauty industry, Elizabeth built a strong foundation in healthcare as a licensed nurse in Ukraine. Her medical background gives her a unique perspective on client safety, sanitation protocols, and procedural care—standards she brings to every permanent makeup treatment. It was during her nursing career that she first attended a training in cosmetic tattooing, an experience that sparked a deep passion for the artistry and technical mastery involved in permanent makeup.

Elizabeth combines clinical knowledge with refined artistry, creating results that enhance natural features while maintaining harmony and balance in the face. She is formally trained in advanced color theory, an essential component in achieving natural-looking permanent makeup results. This expertise allows her to carefully select and customize pigments that complement each client’s individual skin tone, undertone, and facial structure.

She is especially known for creating beautifully soft Ombre Powder Brows, a modern permanent eyebrow technique that produces a natural gradient effect—soft and airy at the front of the brow with a more defined tail. This technique is ideal for clients seeking fuller-looking brows with long-lasting definition while maintaining a natural appearance.

She earned her Master’s Diploma from The International Dermal Institute in Torrance, California, completing an additional 1,200 hours of postgraduate training beyond her undergraduate license. The Institute remains one of the foremost post-graduate educational institutions in the United States.

Jody began her clinical tenure at Leonard Drake, the original flagship concept spa in Marina del Rey, where she practiced for four years under advanced educational standards established by the Institute. During this time, she also worked within the expanding concept spa network, including the satellite location inside the renowned José Eber Salon on Rodeo Drive, serving entertainment industry and high-profile clientele.

In parallel with clinical aesthetics, Jody worked in theatrical and film makeup in West Los Angeles. Her period makeup work for The Cat’s Meow was recognized in Dramalogue for excellence in historical characterization. These artistic foundations strengthened her eye for structure, proportion, and detail while completing her master’s education.

During these formative years, Jody independently referred clients to leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons after identifying dermatologic irregularities beyond traditional aesthetic scope. Her early recognition of complex skin abnormalities earned professional respect among physicians in the Los Angeles medical community. One of those dermatologists, UCLA-affiliated board-certified dermatologist Dr. Ronald Moy, later proctored her examination in Dermatologic Disorders and Pre- and Post-Operative Support Care through the Raynor Institute in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

While working alongside Dr. Howard Murad, Jody also contributed to product development initiatives and double-blind clinical studies, gaining direct exposure to research methodology and evidence-based formulation validation.

Sonoma County: Clinical Practice & Founder (2000–Present)

In 2000, Jody relocated to Sonoma County, where she transitioned her West Los Angeles clinical training into advanced clinical aesthetic practice.

She practiced for five years at Dermatology Associates of Petaluma and collaborated with Dr. David Marcus at a local Plastic Surgery Center, expanding her expertise in dermatologic disorders, physician-directed corrective treatments, and surgical patient management.

Under physician supervision, Jody performed medical-grade chemical peel procedures as part of comprehensive corrective treatment plans for both surgical and non-surgical patients. During this period, she also observed surgical procedures to deepen her understanding of tissue physiology, wound healing patterns, incision placement, and post-operative recovery timelines. This exposure enhanced her ability to support patients through pre- and post-operative phases with clinical precision and informed care.

Her initial Sonoma County clientele was derived from dermatology patients who chose to follow her into private practice — a testament to the trust established within medical environments.

In 2006, Jody founded The Skin Clinique Inc., designed and constructed from the ground up according to her own architectural and clinical vision. During the full construction build (August 2007–January 2008), she continued expanding her patient following, including referrals from Dr. Marcus’s surgical patient base.

The Skin Clinique formally opened in March 2008 and has since become known in Sonoma County for high-level clinical aesthetics supported by evidence-based methodology and disciplined treatment architecture.

To this day, the practice continues to receive trusted referrals from dermatology and plastic surgery offices — an enduring indicator of professional credibility and community confidence.

Certification, Education & Professional Engagement

Jody was among the first professionals in the United States to complete medical certification in Dermatologic Skin Care and Pre/Post-Operative Support Care through the Raynor Institute. Her continuing education includes state-registered certified units in nursing and post-secondary vocational rehabilitation.

She has served on the Advisory Board of Les Nouvelles Esthétiques, a leading professional skin care journal, and regularly attends American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) conferences to remain current on FDA regulations, prescription therapies, and advancements in aesthetic technology.

Her product philosophy is rooted in scientific integrity. She researches global ingredient standards — including EU-regulated formulation policies — to ensure that every product used and recommended at The Skin Clinique reflects both safety and performance.

Current Role

Today, Jody serves in a Founder’s Consultative capacity at The Skin Clinique, supporting a highly trained clinical team while providing advanced consultative treatments and bi-coastal availability between California and Florida.

Her work reflects more than three decades of disciplined training, physician collaboration, formulation science, and long-standing community trust — shaped directly by the mentors who defined modern aesthetics.
